Test: Brought my Nikon Z6 to a soccer game

I brought my Z6 to a soccer game this weekend and I was generally impressed. I used it as my second camera with a Nikon 70-200 f 2.8 … handheld. (first was D500 with 300mm f2.8 on a monopod).

It did miss focus a few times, but being handheld and having to be fast switching from camera to camera I don’t think it was much worse than my previous second camera which was a D750. The firmware was NOT updated, but will be the next time.

I will also use it as my main camera next time and see how it does.

I am very impressed with the ISO handling and sharpness.

I am struggling a bit with the editing in Lightroom, since it reacts differently to my presets that I use with the D500. The colors are different. I guess I need to have two presets. One for each. Thats a shame.

Also the Lense Corrections (LR) only recognizes my lense as Built In and I have to choose Nikon myself. Anyone who knows a solutions to that? My D500 and previous cameras figured that out by them selves. Or at least LR did.

Here is a few shots from the game. I added the one where the player scores (alone with the goalie) and here it did miss focus. Focus was spot on just before. Guess I can claim it as a action shot with intended motion blur
